Alex '$werve' is an 18 year old producer from London who specialises in a various number of 'internet genres'. He quickly rose to fame at the age of 13 in 2021 with his debut single 'CITY LIGHT$', influencing an entire new subgenre named 'House Phonk' which became the fastest growing genre of 2022. $werve followed up with multiple viral records, helped by his tiktok account that is currently sitting at 500,000 followers. In early 2025 at the age of just 16, $werve's viral-hit titled 'h4rdjump_1988' reached #23 on the Billboard Dance & Electronic Chart. Later on in 2025, he reached over 1,000,000,000 streams across all platforms, breaking records in his scene. Being commonly referred to as one of the pioneers of 'phonk' and many other rising subgenres, $werve has a seat at the top.
