Biography & Metadata

A well-regarded rapper in Germany, Majan's had a meteoric rise on the scene with his catchy melodic rap. His second single, 2019’s breakthrough “1975,” was propelled in part by a guest verse from Stuttgart rapper Cro; subsequent hits include “Lonely,” “Liebe zu dritt,” and “Ich Liebe…,” all released independently from studio albums SKITS (2021) and Wenn nichts von nichts kommt, woher komm’ ich dann? (2025). Born Marian Heim in Schorndorf (due east of Stuttgart) in 1999, Majan moved quickly in his career. Debut single “Nie da” paired him with producers Jugglerz and Killian & Jo and a light, dancehall-inspired beat. His next track was “1975,” a long-gestating demo boosted by a guest appearance from Cro, whom Majan sent the track to on a whim. Fans and critics enjoyed the melodic single and favorably compared the newcomer to his duet partner. More material followed, including EPs OH and BOI in 2020 and collaborative singles like 2020’s “Lonely” with Tujamo and Vize (Majan's first Top 40 hit at home and a gold-certified single) and 2021’s “Liebe zu dritt,” featuring Provinz and Jeremias. Majan's pop eclecticism flourished even more on his studio albums. 2021’s SKITS was his first long-player, a Top 20 hit upon release; he followed it with more than an album’s worth of one-offs and EPs (including 2023’s Für jeden aber nicht für dich and 73614). In 2024, he surprised fans by going mostly silent, later admitting a need to step back to focus on his mental health in light of an ADHD diagnosis. 2025’s sophomore album Wenn nichts von nichts kommt, woher komm’ ich dann? found him well-rested and refreshed; he landed on the German Top Ten for the first time. ~ Mike Duquette, Rovi
