Biography & Metadata
‘Tender Glue (noun): Not a person. Not a band. Music made by an urge to create.’ Tender Glue is the project of Tom Gluewicki, born and raised in Poland before moving to New York in 2002. On September 25th, 2015, he released his debut EP, “Wait For Steady Light,” a collection of raw home recordings made with minimal equipment. A year later, the full length “Steady Light” followed on August 26th, 2016. His second album, “Closet Leftovers,” arrived on September 28th, 2018 via his label Don’t Label Me Records, with singles released between February and June. The album was recorded and produced in the closet of his studio apartment after relocating from Brooklyn to Manhattan. “Not So Very Nice,” released on September 30, 2022, gathers darker songs written across different periods, reflecting blue collar, hard working life. CLASH Magazine noted its balance of clean guitar tones and detailed songwriting, drawing comparisons to Beach Fossils and Cocteau Twins. The final mini EP, Bye, released on March 27th, 2026, closes the chapter with “Cheers To Years,” a tender gluebye to everyone who connected with the music. It brings Tender Glue full circle, echoing the three-song debut over a decade earlier, and celebrates the steady light that carries it all forward.
