Van B. King

Born in Suriname and based in the Netherlands, Van B. King is the singer and entertainer best known as the unmistakable voice and frontman associated with The Soca Boys. His energetic call-and-response style helped turn 1998's Follow The Leader into an international party classic and established him as a born crowd leader. His career has taken him across Caribbean and European music scenes, from live bands and soca to dance and crossover projects. Under the Soca Gang banner he appeared on Chacaron, and in 2007, as The Original Soca Boy, he joined Turkish artist Ekin for Damat, a major wedding anthem that reached No. 1 on the Kral TV Hit List. In 2026, Van B. King joined forces with Dutch producer and musician DJM for a new chapter. Their first release, Ra-Ta-Ta (Jump All Night), brings the classic Soca Boy spirit into a contemporary production: energetic, playful and built to make a crowd move. For Van B.
