Beat Market

Beat Market is a Montreal-based duo that produces instrumental electronic music, and consists of musicians and producers Louis-Joseph Cliche and Maxime Bellavance. Having both gone through extensive musical training and performed with Quebec's big names, the duo provides a unique onstage experience, electronic music played live (keyboards, drums) that combines album tracks and, something more unusual, electronic improvisations, a real party and experimental trip. Beat Market's wild and organic show features hypnotic images and lights that bring the audience into a transcendental trance. The Beat Market project has enjoyed significant credibility since 2014, the year they released their first album Red Magic, which allowed them to tour all over Quebec. Then came Sun Machine in 2015, which reaped critical acclaim and led them to perform in England, France and the United States. In 2016, after more than 250 shows, the band revisited several of the Sun Machine album tracks by inviting singers to contribute to the project (Annie Sama, Malika Tirolien, Aïza and French Horn Rebellion), resulting in the four tracks on the Moon Machine EP (2018). In the summer of 2018, Beat Market released the All Good EP (Lisbon Lux Records).
