Biography & Metadata
In 2012, these four veterans of Rome music scene started a library music project, but soon they decided to become a real band, to produce original compositions inspired by Italian soundtracks of late 60s/early 80s.
Since then, they released five albums (including the remake of Amore Tossico original score) and two film soundtracks, with a personal though eclectic sound, blending prog-rock, funk, hip-hop and ambient, and collaborated, on stage and in studio, with Colle Der Fomento, Kaos One, Kutso, Stefano Bollani, Paolo Fresu, Roy Paci, DJ Craim, DJ Stile, Jolly Mare, Orchestra Operaia, Alex Infascelli. All the instruments recorded are vintage, though music of La Batteria is not merely revival, but the result of a style projected into now. So, in the lines of their cinematic prog-funk, you will detect traces of afro beat, hip-hop and kosmische music, all filtered through an Italian feeling. Line-up: Emanuele Bultrini - guitars; David Nerattini - drums; Paolo Pecorelli - bass; Stefano Vicarelli - keyboards
