J Rochet

J Rochet is a singer, producer, and indie pop/rock artist whose sound draws from a wide range of genres, including rock, electronic, garage, industrial, R&B, soul, and drum & bass. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, J Rochet emerged from the underground scenes of indie, punk, and hardcore. Over time, he explored and produced across diverse musical styles, ultimately shaping a bold and personal interpretation of modern rock. Defying conventional genre boundaries, his style—best described as “Anti-Pop”—breaks down the traditional pop/rock sound in favor of something darker, edgier, and emotionally resonant. It’s a fusion of intensity and melody, with lyrics that explore themes of self-reflection, growth, and love. J Rochet has collaborated with acclaimed artists like Calma Carmona, Nutopia, Dogos, Corre Forrest!, TodosAnimales, and Los Rarxs , as well as earning editorial recognition for his music from platforms such as REMEZCLA and more. His work continues to challenge the status quo and expand the sonic palette of contemporary indie music.
