Biography & Metadata

Shelley Nelson is the vocalist on Here's Where The Story Ends, a UK No. 7 hit with Tin Tin Out, which went on to receive an Ivor Novello Award, courtesy of Shelley's performance. This was a second UK hit in a matter of weeks, after reaching No. 14 collaborating on Treat Infamy by Rest Assured. The next Tin Tin Out single - Sometimes, also written by Shelley, reached No. 20. These successes added to two earlier club hits - Top Of The World by Dudearella and Coalition's Lose Her Now (another Nelson composition). Shelley then wrote Something In Your Eyes, with UKG trailblazer Ed Case. Now a legendary old school anthem, it keeps Shelley in regular demand with appearances throughout Europe and beyond. Next came Believe – a collaboration with jazz saxophonist Nathan Haines for his celebrated 'Sound Travels' album, which led to a tour of New Zealand with Nathan and his band. Performing and guest-writing with the multi-talented outfit Reel People followed, including a tour of Japan and the UK, performing their critically acclaimed album Second Guess. At present, Shelley is constantly writing and performing, most recently, on a sell-out tour with The House and Garage Orchestra. Shelley is a 'singer's singer' - anyone that has seen her sing live, will agree that her virtuosity and ability to perform world class vocals across any number of musical genres, means that she will defy categorization and bring enjoyment to lovers of special voices, for a long time to come.
