Shogun Wiz

Buffalo native Shogun Wiz brings the raw, unfiltered spirit of his hometown to his music, ensuring that no matter where he goes, Buffalo’s essence travels with him. His recent high-profile stunt, climbing Hollywood Mountain to film a music video despite police intervention, exemplifies his fearless approach to creativity and self-expression. Set to release an EP on September 22nd (Lost Files Vol. 1) and an eagerly anticipated Music Video, "GANGER," on November 20th, Produced By RK Productions. Shogun Wiz is poised for a major breakthrough. His career began with the founding of Ruff Buff Entertainment, a collective he established to facilitate creative expression in music, videography, and production long before his solo career took flight. Shogun Wiz's dynamic stage presence has earned him spots alongside hip-hop heavyweights including Styles P, Ghostface, Sheek Louch, Maino, Jim Jones, Conway, Method Man, Redman, and Ron Suno. His stage name, “Shogun,” is a nod to his fascination with Japanese culture, derived from the term for a military commander, symbolizing his commanding presence in the industry. Drawing inspiration from pioneers like De La Soul, Jeru the Damaja, and KRS-One, Shogun Wiz blends classic influences with a contemporary edge, defining his unique sound and vision.
