Spiroh

South African rapper and songwriter acclaimed a high profile after becoming Africa’s first MTN Megastar in 2017. Winning the competition meant travelling to the US to work with certified sound engineers. This would be an opportunity the rapper would only dream about, especially coming from Cape Town. It was only a matter of time before more people found out about Spiroh- and so they did. Spiroh would land his first Top 5 on 5FM for the Ms Cosmo’s Show in 2018. The song would be a feature with DJ Switch and MPJ called ‘1Shot’. Switch has worked the likes of Nasty C, Youngsta CPT, Shane Eagle so it was no doubt that the rapper was in good hands. The relationship between Dj Switch and Spiroh was actually established when K.O put him onto the rapper. Spiroh has a very slick energy in his raps, most occasions addressing females as he feels that they affect his music the most. ‘We came from women so we relate to women ‘ is what he said in a live radio interview. However, he’s versatility allows him to deliver those hard hitting punchlines whenever it’s needed. Releasing his first project What A Life set the tone as it was all about making it out the “6ix4our”. The Intro caught the hearts of the young aspiring creatives in the city as it hit so close to home. The people connected with it and the rapper was recognized as promising star. In January 2021 Spiroh released a club banger with Tashinga and Verge called My Baby directed by Nani Chehore.
