Biography & Metadata

Julianne Bourne is a Violinist/Pianist and Composer from the Midlands of the UK. She is as well respected for her Classical and Orchestral/String Ensemble projects as she is for performing and recording with dance and rock/indie bands such as The Twang, Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi, The Rosadocs, The Sherlocks and Little Juke amongst many others. After hearing a handful of her first compositions, she was signed on the spot for a Publishing Deal with Full Thought Publishing – an offshoot of cult record label Tru Thoughts from Brighton UK. ‘I don’t really draw a line across musical genres’ says Julianne. ‘I appreciate the beauty and passion in a piece by Claude Debussy, Pablo de Sarasate or John Adams for example and love to play their music – but I’m no stranger either to stumbling out of a club in the early morning hours after hearing a fantastic DJ or seeing or performing with a great band.’ Her debut album Silvaglyph and Other Stories was released in 2022 her work and gained strong support worldwide as did her second album, the highly regarded Woman of Eyam, a collection of work dedicated to a largely unsung matriarchal hero of 17th Century Derbyshire UK history. She has released many singles and an EP Hello Tantalus in between times and has a new piece of work ‘Do But Don’t’ released worldwide on Friday October 24th 2025.
