Okey Sokay

Okey Sokay, born Okechukwu Dickson in Lagos, Nigeria, is a gifted gospel artiste of rare quality. His musical journey began in the 80s, growing up immersed in the sounds of his local church choir. This early exposure to music laid the foundation for a remarkable career. His professional start came at a very young age as a drummer for the popular gospel star Ibro John (late) during the late 90s. As a member of a popular children's choir, he traveled across Nigeria, gaining invaluable experience on some of the country's biggest stages, ministering and performing to thousands. He announced his arrival as a solo artist with the 2014 EP, "Without You," followed by his impactful debut album, "REVEALED," in 2016. Okey Sokay is known for his uplifting melodies, powerful inspiring lyrics, and the undeniable presence his music carries. His sound is celebrated as successful, pure, fresh, and original, earning him significant acknowledgement and recognition for its global impact. Rooted in a personal relationship with Jesus, his testimony fuels his music, inspiring beloved songs like "OYEL," "HSKT," "Aka," "Takeover," "YANGA," "Life," and many others.
