An Dannsa Dub

Twice nominated for Live Act of the Year at the Trad Awards as well as the '23 SAMAs, An Dannsa Dub (led by Tom Spirals & Euan McLaughlin) have garnered critical acclaim for their ability to blend the mystical sounds of Gaelic song and Scottish instruments with the pulsating rhythms and deep basslines of digital dub. An Dannsa Dub have spent the last 5 years touring across the UK, EU and Asia playing at major festivals including Glastonbury, No Logo BZH, Lorient and Goa Sunsplash. Their distinctive sound, fuelled by top-tier musicians including Ben Burnside (Drums), Nicky Kirk (Guitar) & Maxi Roots (Bass), continues to captivate crowds worldwide. Following the success of Air An Turas, which established them as a force in the folk music world and the global dub scene, and the follow up Through The Storm which took their sound to new heights. 2026’s Twisted Roots (due October on La Tempesta Dub) further explores a range of soundsystem music from slow, psychedelic one-drop roots to uptempo steppas and dubstep while also experimenting with tradition from Appalachia, India and more.  The album features musicians from the live band alongside international guests including Marina P, Italee, Cahalen Morrison, Sukanya, Black Hole Soundsystem , OMEGA NEBULA and Scottish collaborators Wends, MAL, Finn MacPherson, Callum Convoy, Kaela Rowan & Ciaran Ryan.
