Biography & Metadata

Gaise Baba is an Afrogospel and Culture Architect who sings in English, Yoruba and West African pidgin English, often combining all three in his music. He holds a degree in Economics, as well as a diploma in Music Business from Berklee College of Music. Beyond writing, recording and performing music, he is the founder of social impact platforms that serve youth audiences & communities. Some of these include ARAMANDA – an Afro-Urban Music Festival that connects young Africans to alternative Christian sounds, genres and expressions (see www.aramandaculture.com). He is the founder of LightOut—a transformative initiative that tours Nigerian secondary schools , harnessing the power of music & art to engage students and advance SDGs 3, 4, 12, & 13 . LightOut has impacted over 30,000 students nationwide (see www.lightout.org). In March 2024, Gaise Baba launched Black Flame—a culture-shaping podcast sparking authentic, powerful conversations for upwardly mobile young Africans. Later in October, following a 3-day retreat with multidisciplinary creatives, he established Foxes on Fire—a growing discipleship community for creatives that has since grown to nearly 200 members.
