Phil Adé (born Philip Adetumbi) is a Maryland-based rapper, singer/songwriter, producer, & actor known for his evolution across music & entertainment. Of Nigerian and Grenadian descent, ADÉ was raised across California, Alabama, Florida, & Maryland, where he discovered his musical roots through church and the DMV's signature go-go sound. He gained early recognition in 2009 under Grammy-nominated R&B artist Raheem DeVaughn & DC music executive Andre Hopson's 368 Music Group, collaborating with artists like Wale, Logic, Mac Miller, & Raekwon. In 2014, during a brief hiatus from releasing his own music, Adé sharpened his craft behind the scenes, contributing songwriting & standout features to Wale's The Album About Nothing-a Billboard #1 project-as well as tracks with Chris Brown, Ari Lennox, & more. In 2018, he signed with Epic Records & released two acclaimed EPs, Always Something & wyd after?, featuring Lil Baby, GoldLink, and Fatman Scoop, collectively amassing over 40 million streams. His music has also appeared across major platforms including WWE, the NFL, NBA 2K22, & the Godfather of Harlem soundtrack. After years of growth, Adé returned as an independent artist with Philip (2025), his first body of work in over 5 years. The project marked a defining moment in his career, fully stepping into himself as both a person & an artist. Building on that momentum, Phil Adé is now preparing for his next chapter with the upcoming project "Always Love," set for release April 2026.
