Biography & Metadata
L'indécis is a French producer and guitarist based in Rotterdam. Drawn in by Grenoble's instrumental hip-hop scene, he started making beats in 2011 and has since shaped a sound that pairs easy listening with rich, carefully crafted arrangements, in the vein of FKJ, Kiefer and Tom Misch. He released several projects through Chillhop Records: Plethoria, Playtime and Second Wind. Playtime remains his best-known work, driven by the success of "Soulful," which has gathered over 100 million streams across platforms. These releases made him a familiar name in the instrumental hip-hop and jazz community. In 2021, he released Ring The Bell, a set of fresh, short and groovy beats influenced by J Dilla and Kaelin Ellis. That same year, after leaving France for Rotterdam between lockdowns, he released Windmills In My Head, an introspective ambient album of analog synths, Rhodes, bells and textured voices that grew out of a period of anxiety and his discovery of analog photography. His latest album, Relic.exe, released in October 2026 with hip-hop producer ØDYSSEE, revolves around a forgotten object found at the bottom of a cardboard box, one that intrigues and stirs up old memories. It brings together beats made over a year in which both artists moved home, blending lo-fi, classic hip-hop and jazz influences. More info & vinyls: lindecismusic.com
