Often described as healing, MALIA’s sounds aren’t just something you listen to, they’re something you feel. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, the alternative R&B/neo-soul songstress garnered some initial buzz after opening for The Internet’s Syd on her West Coast tour and went on to amass 50+ millions of streams on her EP’s Late Bloomer and Ripe. More recently, she was the only artist asked by Alicia Keys to cover a song for the 20th anniversary of Songs In A Minor and was featured on Alicia’s Spotify profile. She also completed North American tours in support of both JMSN and Corinne Bailey Rae. In the fall of 2024, MALIA released her highly anticipated album, Back in My Body. In upcoming project, If I’m Being Honest, MALIA explores intimacy in all its forms - romantic, physical, internal, and platonic. The EP moves through doubt and faith, desire and discernment, solitude and connection, ultimately centering on the idea that true safety and freedom must be cultivated from within. With “Not a Love Song,” MALIA offers a clear entry point into the project’s emotional world: tender, grounded, and unafraid to sit with life as it is.
