Binghi Ghost

From the sun-drenched shores of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, emerges Binghi Ghost, a voice deeply rooted in the vibrant genesis of the VI Reggae movement. Growing up immersed in this powerful sonic landscape, his early years were soundtracked by the conscious vibrations that rose organically from Virgin Islands soil. At the formative age of 13, witnessing the magnetic presence of Vaughn Benjamin commanding local stages wknd after wknd ignited a profound artistic fire. This foundational influence intertwined with the infectious energy of VI Soca legends like Jam Band, VIOlators & Express Band, alongside the fiery sounds of Antigua's Burning Flames. The potent artistry of Pressure Busspipe & the Star Lion family, Army, Batch, De Apostle, Tippy of I-grade, Bambu Station, Ras Attitude, Sabbatical Ahdah, Inner Visions, Crypleton & the entire dynamic VI reggae family further shaped his musical DNA. Binghi Ghost's journey into creation began in 2002 w/ his 1st dubplate for X Facta Sound, a prominent VI soundsystem based in Tallahassee, Fl, at FAMU. This marked the genesis of a consistent & warmly embraced recording career. X Facta Sound became a vital platform, regularly captivating audiences & engaging in clashes w/ renowned sounds like The Reggae Boyz & the now globally celebrated Walshy Fire. Binghi Ghost carries this rich heritage forward, his music a testament to the enduring power & spirit of the VI sound.
