A trailblaze of positive Caribbean expression, creativity & attitude, with all-inclusive sound. A style-savvy music producer and DJ, Blasé Vanguard’s most celebrated sound features Caribbean soca and dancehall, as well as uptempo kuduro and contemporary afrobeats. The resident ‘saga boy’ has an equally skillful navigation of London’s grime and UK funky, along with American hip hop and trap music. By immersing himself in these multiple influences, he creates an eclectic and inimitable musical experience, moving crowds from Port of Spain's Big Black Box and Euphoria Lounge all the way to London’s Camden Assembly & Rum Kitchen, Berlin’s Chaussestrasse 131 & Barcelona’s Razzmatazz. 2018 brought through several of Blasé Vanguard’s official solo releases, infusing them his own vocals. STRESS/Dahlin’, his debut EP was described by Dummy Magazine’s Cosmo Godfree as “a heady concoction of soca and UK funky but married with the heads-down, rain-stricken introspection of early dubstep”. STRESS/Dahlin was released with More Time Records, easily one of 2017’s most exciting new labels, treating us to music from the likes of Mina, Bryte, Cardinal Sound and label co-founders Ahadadream and SNØW.
