Hailing from the charming town of Nîmes in southern France, Loris Pondérant, better known as Rebel of Sleep, is making waves in the world of melodic and progressive house. Known for his signature blend of techno’s moody atmospheres, organic percussion, and uplifting, heady melodies, his productions have found homes on respected labels like Immersed, PRGRSSN, and Elliptical Sun. With support from heavyweights such as Lane 8, Sultan + Shepard, Mees Salomé, and Nora En Pure, Rebel of Sleep’s music is turning heads worldwide. Now based in Montreal, Loris expertly juggles life as a musician and a computer science student. On stage, he has opened for renowned artists like Le Youth, Sultan + Shepard, ALPHA 9, and Kasablanca, performing at some of the city’s most iconic venues, including Newspeak and New City Gas.
