Sagor Som Leder Mot Slutet is a Scandinavian instrumental postrock/metal band mixing darker and heavier themes with gentleness and fragility. Their self-titled debut album released with a unique forest soundscape, Post Rock Essentials calling it one of the best albums of 2016. Nominated “Best newcomer” and “Best album”. Their follow up studio album "π” reached the far depths of the world drawing inspiration from the sea and in-cooperating equally haunting as beautiful violins performed by Malmö Opera consert maestro Wojtek Mileros. Mixed and mastered by Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna) recorded at Studio Gröndahl, reviewed for both attacking and caressing all your senses. Swedish motion picture “Iris”, directed by Mattias Olsson (Försvunnen) premiered at international film festivals and won best narrative short, for which Sagor Som Leder Mot Slutet composed and recorded the original motion picture soundtrack. With ”III” the band looked outward at the existential vastness of time and space. Mixed and mastered by Magnus Lindberg (Cult of Luna), culminating with a European tour and unforgettable show av Dunk Festival. In 2026 their upcoming album ”IV” is a completely revamped take on their instrumental storytelling - progressive, crushing, heavily rhytmic and inspired by the raw, unrelenting nature of earth and stone.
