Salma

Salma is a multidisciplinary singer-songwriter known for her emotional depth, distinctive voice, and versatile songwriting—always with a strong foundation in pop. Born in 1995 and raised in Sabinas, Coahuila, she began writing and performing original music at the age of 10, knowing early on that music was her lifelong path. Her journey began on social media in 2015 with acoustic covers, but it was in 2020 when her talent reached wider audiences after winning a viral TikTok challenge to collaborate on the hit single “Gitana" which now has over 50 million streams. She debuted with her first EP, BASADO EN HECHOS REALES —a raw, honest narrative of a past relationship told track by track, written and performed entirely by her. Recognized for her vulnerable and authentic lyricism, Salma has since co-written and released several singles, including Siempre Nada produced by multi-Grammy nominee Nabález. Her music blends emotional storytelling with rich melodic sensibility, positioning her as one of the most promising new voices in Mexico's regional pop scene. Her debut album SERENATAS began with the release of the single "Frida", a heartfelt tribute inspired by Frida Kahlo. The song quickly gained traction on social media, setting the tone for the album’s central theme: expressing love in all its forms. Salma reimagines the tradition of Mexican serenades—blending classic sounds with her contemporary voice and vision. This debut album is out now.
