Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, ssjishmael is a promising young artist who makes music that bends the rules and defies traditional genre norms. Allowing him to showcase his diverse musical talent through an assorted body of work. He discovered his passion for recording music in 2017, when he and his cousin made songs with only an iPhone and Apple headphones. Since then, he has been creating music nonstop with intentions of improving with each song. Heavily inspired by devices of nostalgia, such as GameCube, and animes such as Dragon Ball Z and Pokémon. He incorporates this nostalgia from his childhood into his art through different mediums. ssjishmael is influenced musically by artists such as Kendrick Lamar, $not, and XXXTENTACION, so it is no surprise that he refuses to constrain himself to produce a single style of music, something that many artists are not willing to do. Amassing millions of streams thus far, ssjishmael continues to operate as an independent artist, working on new music, to be released.
