Biography & Metadata
Reminiscent of early 2000s pop singer-songwriters, Dominique Way feels like a breath of fresh air in the current Canadian pop music landscape. Her debut EP Sprig, co-written and co-produced by Grammy-nominated producer Harper Gordon, introduced her deeply personal approach to songwriting. Gaining over a million streams in just a couple of months, the release earned her spots on Spotify playlists including Fresh Finds Global, All New Indie, Oyster, and Indie Update. She followed with Sprig B-Sides, a more subtle and intimate extension of the project, creating space for listeners to sit with their emotions between the four songs. Her latest EP, Who Could Not Be Broken, marks a new chapter for Dominique..Inspired by the highs and lows of living somewhere alone for the first time, the project moves through heartache, chaos, independence and the uncertainty of finding your place in this world. At its core, the EP is a promise to herself: to keep chasing big, pure love and her dream of becoming an artist who can make an impact, especially for those smaller town kids who might feel like the world is bigger than them. Through it all, Dominique chooses to keep her heart open—to forgiveness, faith and emotional honesty. Who Could Not Be Broken is ultimately about refusing to let change, heartbreak or instability harden the way you love, protecting the spirit that belongs fully to you, and trusting that you can always find the way back home.
