Lex Ash

Chidi "Lex Ash" Ashimole's soft and calm music infuses R&B vocals and soulful lyricism into diverse Afro-themed and traditional R&B rhythms. Mostly known for his unique photography and love for the arts, Lex explores music like he explores his other art forms, with grace, poise, and gentle reflections. Lex is a graduate of Covenant University with a degree in Estate management. He was a Brand and Design Executive at Andela for a few years before deciding to focus on his career as a multidisciplinary artist. He was nominated for the future award prize in Photography, best Photographer at the Fashion Finest Africa, and has done multiple exhibitions in places across the world. For his music, as a singer and songwriter, Lex Ash draws inspiration from the likes of Michael Buble and John Legend. With his gospel music background and performing with choirs, his ability to enunciate lyrics to instrumentals of varying genres avails him of a world of diversity. He's also a fantastic songwriter, one whose music embodies vulnerability and honesty that is not commonplace in the space of music he's generally used to.
