Biography & Metadata
Mark Adams, better known as Duke, is the British singer-songwriter behind the iconic 90s song “So In Love With” written and performed by Adams, the track became an international club and commercial chart success, cementing its place as a house/dance music classic. Originally remixed by Pizzaman (Norman Cook) in 1994 and later by Full Intention (Michael Gray/Jon Pearn) in 1995, the song quickly gained momentum across Europe. It entered the UK Dance Chart before becoming a huge club hit in the Netherlands, where DJ Marcello at the legendary Club IT/Chemistry/Escape Amsterdam championed the Pizzaman remix. Strong radio support followed, helping the single reach No. 3 on the Dutch Singles Chart and top dance charts across Europe and beyond. In the UK, the Full Intention remix peaked at No. 22 on the UK Singles Chart, while the track went on to achieve its biggest international success by reaching No. 1 on the US Billboard Dance Club Chart in 1997. The song continued to enjoy new life through later remixes, including the Dred Poets Remix, which reached No. 13 on the UK Independent Singles Chart in 2000, and the Haji & Emanuel Remix, which reached No. 14 in 2006. Duke followed this success with “Greater,” which climbed to No. 9 on the US Billboard Dance Club Chart in 1998, further establishing Mark Adams as one of the UK’s most respected voices in house music.
