Biography & Metadata

STAHR are a Brisbane rock outfit carving out a space between alternative rock, desert rock and grunge — where fuzzed-out guitars, hypnotic grooves and soaring vocals collide with sharp, unfiltered storytelling. Fronted by Grace Harris and Samuel Shepherd, STAHR create music that feels equal parts seductive, gritty and emotionally volatile. Their songs explore desire, heartbreak, self-destruction, ego and the strange intensity of moments that feel world-ending in the moment, only to become footnotes later. Since debuting in 2024, STAHR have quickly established themselves as one of Brisbane’s emerging live acts, sharing stages with UK indie-rock icons The Cribs, as well as Boy & Bear, Olympia and The Vanns. Along the way, they’ve earned coverage from The AU Review, scenestr, Australian Musician, Triple J Unearthed and other Australian music publications Their debut EP, BLIP, arrived in 2026 — a raw five-track collection that moves between dark, atmospheric passages and explosive guitar-driven rock. With an East Coast tour behind them and a growing reputation for an electrifying live show, STAHR are building a sound that is unapologetically their own. Gritty, cinematic and a little dangerous — STAHR are just getting started.
