Biography & Metadata

Bryvvn is a Nairobi-based producer whose sound was built in Cape Town, where he spent late nights teaching himself production from the ground up. While studying at the University of Cape Town, he was surrounded by the sounds of South Africa’s 2016 hip-hop wave : Nasty C, Shane Eagle and a new generation reshaping the sound while picking up game from his then-neighbours, Namibian rapper Flexx Fillemon and producer Justin Hansen, both studying audio engineering at Cape Audio. His first real run came producing exclusively for rapper Jesse Reignz (RIP), who was part of Riky Rick’s Vodacom NEXT mentorship programme. With no formal production training, Bryvvn built his sound by ear: raw, gritty textures sitting against melody, with just enough space to let both breathe. Early on, his singer-songwriter material leaned into the darker, late-night R&B of artists like Roy Woods and PARTYNEXTDOOR. Over time, though, Bryvvn moved further behind the boards, shifting toward executive production and choosing his vocal moments carefully most notably on cuts like BRKN and 4EVER WAVY. That evolution also gave birth to OS Breezy, his trap-rap alter ego. As OS Breezy, he taps into Nairobi’s new-school drill and trap movement with a sound that feels distinctly his own. His releases have already landed across multiple Spotify editorial playlists, building momentum with every drop.
