David Fleming

David Fleming is an American composer for film, television and video games. This year David composed the score for the breakout series Widow's Bay, for which he won his second Primetime Emmy award. Other recent scores include James Gunn’s Superman (alongside John Murphy), the A24 film Eternity, Sony Pictures' Anaconda, Mr. & Mrs. Smith starring Donald Glover, HBO’s The Last of Us (alongside Gustavo Santaolalla) and Ron Howard's Jim Henson: Idea Man, which also earned David an Emmy for Outstanding Music Composition for a documentary. David began his career with BBC's acclaimed nature series Blue Planet II alongside Hans Zimmer, which marked the start of a collaborative relationship with the Academy Award-winning composer, encompassing music for both of Denis Villeneuve’s Dune films as well as Top Gun: Maverick. David's sweeping orchestral fantasy score for Netflix's Damsel marked his first solo feature, while his dark electronic work on The Last of Us won ASCAP's Composer's Choice Award for Television Score of the Year. Most recently, David's soundtrack for Marvel's Wolverine was released, marking his first foray into the world of video game music.
