Growing up in Hamburg, Germany (often referred to as Hamphis), SorryMane got introduced to the Phonk Scene around 2017/18 by regularly attending Trap and Hip-Hop Events, which, in Germany at that time, were heavily influenced by the sound of old-school Memphis Rap and the G95 Suicideboys wave. Most Notably an Event Series called ‚Nite of the Trill‘ introduced him to the likes of Dj Smokey, Drae Da Skimask and Soudiere, Which inspired him to take on music production himself, so by 2019 he dropped his first mixtape and started his own collective of rappers and producers, called ‚Stay Hydrated‘, under which he managed many events and releases happened throughout the years. By now he made himself a Name as one of the most prolific Phonk DJs in the european scene, playing Shows not just at the ‚Phonky Phriday‘ Events his collective is hosting in Hamburg, but also for the likes of La Phonkerie (Paris) or TEDDY COLOUR (London). Most recently he dropped one of the first phonk concept albums in collaboration with underground legend Grouf$, called The Breakfast Show With Alex And Mark, which stirred quite a buss in the scene and already is a strong contender for Phonk Album of the year!
