Ynw stretch

Born Kevan Carty in St. Ann's, Jamaica, Ynw stretch is a dancehall/hip-hop artist based in Ottawa, Canada. His passion for music, is deeply influenced by his early introductions to Gospel, Dancehall and later Hip-hop; providing a dynamic base for his unique sound. In his teenage years, Kevan Carty (Ynw stretch), was often called Vybz Carty by his peers, given his ability to cover popular reggae and dancehall songs from artists such as Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer, Sizzla Kalonji, Capleton and Buju Banton. Building on this new found talent, he began writing and recording over blank CD's and eventually performing at several local events. He later earned his nickname "Stretch" while employed at Breezes Runaway Bay Resort "now known as Jewels Resorts and Spa", given his 6'5'' frame, while the Y.N.W in his artist name stands for "Young and Wise". He has released multiple singles, such as Pain, Money Bag, Attitude "featuring Kek", 4Play "produced by: Zihking Music" and Don't give up, a track with a message of perseverance.
