Jamunication

Jamunication is a collaboration beetween multi-instrumentalist/vocalist Ben Kromayer and songwriter/musician Nicolai Albrecht, featuring the singer Isabel da Cruz. The long time friends manufacture a brand of polyphone vocal-driven soul-pop. The two musicians met in early 70’ ties when their parents let them play in the streets of Munich. There they found – hidden in the hall of a famous newspaper printery – a time machine. On their following trips in the past they secretly visited different musicians like Carlo Gesualdo, Johann Sebastian Bach, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Curtis Mayfield, Supertramp or Al Green – just to name some of them. These journeys deeply influenced their way of musical thinking and music making. When the two met again in the 90 `ties they had already made experience with several bands like “Hot Pie & Candy” and “The Mutual Admiring Society”. Then they started jamming and played together with the unforgettable crossover band “kindergarten”. Since then they also started journeys into the future. After having trouble to come back, they ended up in a future tribe called Jamunication. The people´s language there - Jamunication- was a combination of jamming music, singing, dancing and talking. They said Jamunication could be the only salvation for mother earth. So they asked Ben and Nicolai to bring it back to the past. https://www.instagram.com/jamunication/
