Biography & Metadata

Hypnotic ambience and gut-punching heaviness with a South London bite is what Blessings of Mara are all about. Making their mark during the Covid-19 pandemic, they self-released their debut single, Cardiac and made waves with their follow-up single, Thalassophobia, which was voted #1 in The Versatile Virgo's 'New Music Monthly', securing a spot in her 'Best Heavy Songs of 2021' playlist. The boys came back in 2022 with Fortune Teller, which was their second single to be voted #1 in The Versatile Virgo's 'New Music Monthly' which would lay the foundation for their follow up single, Voidwalker demonstrating a focus on atmosphere contrasted by groove-laden rhythms. Discovering that K-Pop translated well to a metal vibe, Blessings of Mara covered BLACKPINK's hit single "Pink Venom' with great success, landing on curator playlists and gaining fan acclaim. Taking inspiration from the creative production of this cover, Obani Moons was the next original single to be released in 2025 quickly garnering over 1k streams in it's first month and proudly sitting at the top of the band's popular songs. 2026 marked a turning point for the band. Their song After Despair bid farewell to their classic metalcore roots, setting the stage for a fresh start and in May, Gutter Rat"ushered in this new era, introducing a more experimental sound and elevated production. Pushing those boundaries further, Hell Awaits arrives on October 29th to hit hard and heavy straight out of the gate.
