Biography & Metadata

Andrew Bayer has been pushing the boundaries of electronic music for over fifteen years, delivering some of the most experimental, ambitious, and unpredictable album catalogs in progressive and trance music. 2026 sees the release of A Light That Guides Weary Travelers Home, his first artist album on Opehlia Records. Pushing his sound into bold new territories, with fresh collaborators (Vancouver Sleep Clinic, Gemma Hayes) and reuniting with old friends (Vök, Jonathan Mendelsohn). The album explores the catharsis of overcoming a dark period in his life and rejoicing in the salvation and magnitude of his recent journey into fatherhood. Between albums, the twice Grammy-nominated producer has crafted a deep catalog of club-focused productions that power his famed DJ sets – 'Super Human' (with Asbjørn), 'Hurricane' (with Seven Lions & Oaks), 'Serendipity' (with Armin van Buuren), and many more. Respected as a true visionary and headline talent within the trance world, as well as one of its only openly proud and vocal LGBTQ+ acts, his DJ sound has energized Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival, Madison Square Garden, ASOT, Creamfields and clubs across the world. Today, Andrew Bayer remains one of electronic music's most versatile artists, seamlessly moving between indie-pop introspection and peak-time progressive anthems, refusing to be confined by genre boundaries while maintaining an unmistakable sonic identity.
