Macjreyz: The Afrobeat Powerhouse Shaping Global Sounds Born Ezenwata Henry Ifeanyi, Macjreyz is more than just an artist—he’s a storyteller redefining Afrobeat. Hailing from Anambra State and based in Lagos, he blends Afrobeat, Hip-Hop, and Caribbean influences, shaped by icons like Damian Marley, Tupac, and Fela Kuti. His journey started in 2013 at just 16 when he recorded his first studio track. Music became his way of expressing what words couldn’t—“I’m not that much of a talker, so I express myself through music.” Macjreyz gained recognition after his covers of artists like 2Baba and Mr Eazi caught the attention of emPawa Africa’s founder, Mr Eazi. after he participate on Mr Eazi’s hit “Tony Montana” featuring Tyga and shared the screen with Burna Boy, Asake, and Central Cee. His 2019 EP “THREESOME”, produced by NaughtyBeatz, introduced his signature sound—a fusion of Afrobeat and Caribbean vibes. In 2020, “Money Anthem” elevated his status, proving his ability to create infectious yet relatable music. Now, with his latest single “Crooze”, Macjreyz continues pushing boundaries, captivating audiences across Africa, Europe, and beyond.
