Biography & Metadata

Brady Toops, originally from a small town in Minnesota, has carved a unique path from pro baseball to indie pop artist. Known for his 9th-inning grand slam that catapulted the University of Arkansas to the College World Series in 2004, Toops went on to play in the Minor Leagues with the St. Louis Cardinals before turning to music in 2008. His journey took a national turn with a 2015 appearance on ABC’s "The Bachelorette," followed by the release of his critically acclaimed album "Tried & True" (2017), after which Paste Magazine called him "a name to watch out for". After stepping away from music for several years, Toops returned to the studio in 2023, with a renewed creative vision—evolving from his singer-songwriter roots into a more expansive indie pop sound. His new album Her featuring the newly released singles Lovers, Muse & Mixed Messages captures this evolution—blending themes of love, heartbreak, and late-night reflection.
