Biography & Metadata

Creative evolution, forward motion, and diversity of experience are at the heart of the music created by CRAIG OWENS. Owens first rose to prominence as the voice leading CHIODOS, post-hardcore heroes who went from Michigan basements to the top of the charts in just a few short years. Staples of main stages and magazine covers, CHIODOS solidified themselves as champions of the genre. In addition to still fronting Chiodos, Owens currently leads Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows, a band he formed in 2010, who released their well-received sophomore album, 'Destroy Rebuild' in 2022. Creating and performing as badXchannels, Bea5t, or in the groups Cinematic Sunrise, the Sound of Animals Fighting and Isles & Glaciers, or simply under his given name, Owens offers complete commitment to his craft. The list of friends and collaborators who have enlisted OWENS for his vocal gift reads like a playlist of the best of modern music, from Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg to Fall Out Boy. In 2023, Owens released a solo album, VOLUME 1, which brought new life to hits from his vast catalog. Owens toured both as a solo artist and with D.R.U.G.S. throughout 2023, with highly anticipated appearances as Chiodos in 2024.   Owens continues to release classic after classic, without ever pandering or compromising integrity. In other words, as Forbes Magazine observed in a 2020 profile, “Craig Owens is exactly where he wants to be.”
