DNA Picasso

DNA Picasso is a recording artist, songwriter, and collaborative producer blending R&B, hip-hop, and cultural storytelling. Born in New York City, his life shifted early after he and his twin brother appeared on Maury, leading to their adoption by a family in California. After years in Southern California, he finished high school in Aurora, laying the foundation for his rise in Denver. Originally a drummer, he began rapping through freestyle sessions in high school before fully committing as a collegiate track & field athlete. In 2025, he returned to Denver to pursue music with intention. Since 2018, DNA Picasso has built a collaborative discography focused on amplifying underrepresented artists. Projects include The Color Blü (Best New Album, Westword), IF NOT ME, THEN WHO?, and Picasso Gang University (20+ collaborators). In 2026, he led and contributed to projects involving 30+ artists. Recognized as one of Denver’s top rappers and a regional force behind the scenes, DNA is known as “the Denver plug.” His single “Fall For You” featuring Shanay Morant was submitted for GRAMMY® consideration. A 2025 Recording Academy Grammy U mentee and Next Wave Leadership Award recipient from the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts, he has also earned multiple Denver Spotlight Awards and “Best of Denver” honors, with features including Colorado Public Radio. DNA Picasso creates with a clear mission: build the art, build the platform, and open doors for others.
