Cadence-driven with a sharp command of wordplay, Da Deputy is a rapper and songwriter from Fort Worth, Texas. Influenced by Southern icons like Chamillionaire, the Screwed Up Click, and Outkast, Dep blends storytelling with undeniable energy. His breakout 2018 EP Elinor earned him an early spot on the On The Radar platform, followed by projects like Lackland and Qinian, which showcased his versatility and global perspective. By 2020, singles like Did or Didn't featuring Jalen Santoy and Side Of Me featuring Phay and Rona Ray (featured on CW’s All American) solidified his growing buzz. In 2023, Dep’s album Northside Dep (Deluxe) took him to the next level. Amassing over 5 million streams, becoming his biggest release to date. After a short hiatus, he returned in 2025 with Wheelpower, a collaboration with longtime producer Big A under his new imprint Recoupe Worldwide. Designed for high-volume drives and rooted in Detroit rap influence, Wheelpower (Deluxe) is already making waves with over 100,000 streams in its first month—cementing Dep’s place as one of Texas rap’s most resilient voices.
