Some music is composed. AVIRAL's is excavated. Drawing from ancient musical traditions—Mesopotamian temple scales, West African talking drum patterns, Sufi ceremonial rhythms, Aboriginal songlines—AVIRAL unearths the sonic DNA of civilizations and rebuilds it with electronic production. Each release is less a track and more a cultural artifact: a bridge between sacred rituals thousands of years old and the modern dancefloor. The dig began with the Ancient Goddess EP and ISHTAR, a melodic techno piece built on a mode used in Sumerian worship ceremonies nearly 4,000 years ago. BASADE followed on Cafe De Anatolia.
