Biography & Metadata
Elegant have maintained their balance of electric pop and lighthearted harmonies to their native Hamburg, Germany since the summer of 1997. Consisting of vocalist Martin Nelte and Hanns-Christian Mahler who provides the rest of the music, Elegant debuted shortly after they formed with a split EP with Mondfähre on Apricot Records. Germany's Marsh-Marigold Records soon took notice and released their follow-up mini-album Variationen in Lässigem Chic in 1998. ~ Mike DaRonco, Rovi
