Zornheym

ZORNHEYM is a Swedish symphonic extreme metal act blending cinematic orchestration with a powerful melodic death metal backbone, driven by epic and memorable songwriting. Founded in Stockholm by multi-instrumentalist Zorn (ex-Dark Funeral), the band was conceived as a fully immersive concept project where music, narrative, and visual storytelling merge into a single universe. At the center lies the asylum “Zornheim” — a dark, evolving setting where madness, mystery, and horror intertwine, and where it is never quite clear who the real inmates are. Each release explores a different chapter in its history, from the debut "Where Hatred Dwells and Darkness Reigns" (2017) to "The Zornheim Sleep Experiment" (2021) and the acoustic EP *The Forgotten Inmates* (2023). On stage, the band delivers a theatrical and immersive experience, transforming their music into a dark spectacle that draws the audience deep into the world of Zornheim. With their third full-length album "Descending Into Madness" (2026), ZORNHEYM expands the story further, diving into the origins of the asylum and the arrival of Dr. Bettelheim.
