Rosie Turton

Rosie Turton has long been a central figure in the new London Jazz scene, being named by The Guardian as ‘One To Watch’ and nominated for Jazz FM’s ‘Breakthrough Act of the Year’, alongside previous releases being supported on the radio by Gilles Peterson, Iggy Pop, Zakia, Hannah Peel and Jamie Cullum. Incorporating her love of playing trombone and modular synthesizer to the centre of her compositions, Turton has crafted a unique sound un-bound by genre, making her one of the most in-demand artists on the UK music scene. This has led to commissions by Open House Festival, Tomorrow’s Warriors, and Sound and Music, alongside performances of her music at venues and festivals such as We Out Here, EFG London Jazz Festival, The Barbican, Kings Place, and The Queen Elizabeth Hall. Rosie has collaborated, recorded and performed with artists such as Nérija (Domino Recording Co), Nwando Ebizie, Shabaka, Sarathy Korwar, Thom Yorke, Miryam Solomon, Hector Plimmer, Zoe Rahman, Camilla George and Yazz Ahmed.
