Biography & Metadata

Lingering Tones (餘響) is the project of drummer and producer Noa Eads. Rooted in a love of imperfection, Lingering Tones moves against overly polished digital surfaces and toward something more human: artifacts, air, grain, distance, and the subtle traces that make sound feel alive. His work often carries the sense of something half-remembered: rusting iron, peeling paint, sand worn steps, faded recollections. Rather than chasing pristine completion, he leans into emergence, incompletion, dissolution, and resonance, treating each piece as a journal entry shaped by exploration, nostalgia, and reflection. Raised on the sweeping, wind-worn pastures of Waimea, Lingering Tones draws deeply from nature, solitude, and impermanence. His music is also informed by East Asian aesthetics, especially the idea that absence, silence, blandness and space invite the listener to complete the work for themselves. The result is a body of work that feels textured, intimate, dampened and spacious: music that lingers at thresholds, gradients and boundaries.
