He began his musical journey at the age of six, learning to play the recorder while accompanying his father to guitar lessons. At 17, inspired by the soundtrack of “Amélie,” he taught himself piano using YouTube. Balouta pursued formal music education at the Regional Conservatory of Music in Vila Real, the Conservatory of Music and Dance in Bragança, and completed his Bachelor’s degree in Music at the Instituto Politécnico de Bragança. He also studied for a semester at the University of Hradec Králové in the Czech Republic. In 2017, he released his debut album “Morphosis,” inspired by the metamorphosis of butterflies, followed by a tour in Portugal and Spain. His second album, “Aurora Borealis,” came out in 2019, featuring 19 tracks inspired by the aurora borealis and the midnight sun .
