Roody Roodboy

Roody Petuel Dauphin was born in Haiti on June 27, 1988. In 2005 he discovered his love for music when his uncle thought him how to play the guitar. Since, he has turned to music to release all of his pain and to survive difficult times. Roody’s father died when he was very young. Being the oldest of his siblings he became responsible to help his mother raise his younger brother and sisters. 
 In 2008, Roody decided to participate in his first talent show called Digital Stars. He was part of the top ten finalist after his first attempt. In 2010, he decided to again take part of the same talent show where he won third place. In 2010 he started to create and perform compas music as a solo act called Roody Roodboy. 
 In 2015, he won the new artist awardin in 2016 he won the best male artist by Ayiti Biografi. In 2016, he won the best male artist along with best compas video and in 2017 he won the best performance by the Haitian Music Industry Awards. In 2017, he also won the best creole artist by the Prestigious Haitian Music Award. In 2018, he expanded his music performances by adding a live band and transforming his act into a group. Roody is the lead singer for the band Roody Roodboy 
 The first album is called “fok tet ou la”. The band is currently working on their second album.
