Freedust

Freedust is the music project of Italian composer and producer Daniele Carmosino— a Barcelona-based fusion of funk, soul, hip-hop and breaks, where crate-dug samples meet warm, modern-soul vocals. Cinematic and eclectic but human at its core, the sound has been described as Wax Tailor meets Black Pumas. Co-founded with Swedish singer Lisa Widmark, Freedust has grown into a global collective. Daniele writes, produces and arranges every release, working with a rotating cast of vocalists from around the world — voices spanning many nationalities, from soul singers and rappers to jazz and folk artists, alongside live players and gospel choirs. The result is feel-good melodies, irresistibly bouncy beats and a raw, vintage-soul energy — music that flips classic samples into something as timeless as it is new, built to move both bodies and crate-diggers.
