Chizabam is an Atlanta-born, Dallas-based Southern storyteller making music from the things people survive but rarely say out loud. Raised between a Nigerian father’s discipline and a Louisiana mother’s fire, his work moves through faith, family, violence, loss, love, and the scars left behind. Southern rap, soul, and spoken word meet in music that is raw, cinematic, and deeply human. His new album, Trauma for Sale, turns three decades of lived experience into a reckoning with survival, memory, and what it costs to finally tell the truth. The stories are real. The scars are his.
