Alex Uhlmann

I feel European through and through. ”-Alex Uhlmann has left his mark across Europe: Gold & platinum albums in Italy, Music Awards in the UK and important recognitions for his restaurant in Berlin, Alex also occasionally Dj’s for AC Milan and is currently the musical director of "The Voice". Born in Luxembourg, Alex initially started a career as a tennis player when he was young, competing in several tournaments around the world. But Alex also taught himself to play the piano and the guitar at an early age and over time the tennis court was replaced with rehearsal rooms and concert halls. Alex moved to London and quickly achieved great success with his music. Be it with the debut album "Tourist In Your Own Town" by his indie rock band "Friday Night Hero" which he founded in London and with whom he won the indie music award for "Best UK Live Act". Or as the lead singer of the Italian and internationally successful band “Planet Funk” whose album “The Great Shake” went certified gold. During three years Alex played over 200 live concerts all over Europe and Russia with “Planet Funk”. After several band projects and collaborations (as for instance the on-going one with the legendary DJ David Morales,) Alex has established himself further as a songwriter, singer, producer and DJ. A new chapter will follow in 2021:his first solo EP and subsequent album towards the end of the year - including Corona permitting - a European headliner tour.
