From the deepest parts of emotion to the calm surtace Whys Young is a Korean singer-songwriter who expresses folk-pop and emo-folk through a new-vintage sound. She honestly and delicately conveys emotions rooted in longing and melancholy through refined language, and through self-producing, she has steadily established her own musical and visual identity. In particular, she has created her own distinctive color called emo-folk by adding the bold sensibility and imagery of EMO/POP In 2025, she changed her international stage name from Yoon Jiyoung to Whys Young.
